Project Highlights
- Collaborated with the creative team on mockups and translated them into a custom WordPress theme.
- Optimized the WordPress editing experience for non-technical content owners using the Advanced Custom Fields plugin to allow them to make updates on their own while still keeping a consistent style and structure; provided support when needed.
- Built a fully responsive interface using Tailwind CSS, ensuring a smooth experience across mobile, tablet, and desktop.
- Implemented and customized an AJAX-powered search and filtering plugin that allows users to find posts by category without reloading; subcategories were revealed only after a parent category was selected for a cleaner interface.
- Added dynamic pagination to help users browse post archives without needing to load everything at once, while still remaining SEO-optimized.
- Designed the single-post layout to integrate related posts and ratings components, providing easier access to related content and a way to give feedback respectively.
- Implemented bilingual functionality (English and French) using the WPML plugin so translators could add their work in a user-friendly fashion.
- Added a sticky main navigation menu beneath the header image so navigation is easily accessible as users scroll.
- Built contest and giveaway forms using the Forminator plugin, and automated submissions to Google Sheets through Zapier, allowing content owners to easily manage the data.
- Integrated Google Analytics and Hotjar for ongoing SEO and UX insights.
